Instructions on Applying Acrylic-Wërks to Faded or New Headlamps
- Pull 1 washcloth from Bucket “A”. Wring cloth out completely by hand then fold cloth in half and then in half again.
- Apply about a half dollar size amount of polish directly to the cloth. (Note: Never apply polish directly to the surface)
- Place cloth on the surface in a manner that it forms a diamond in front of you.
- Begin by moving your hand in a criss-cross motion leading with the bridge of your pinky and hand.
- Continue moving your hand in a criss-cross motion until your cloth feels a little dry.
- Flip the cloth over and apply about a quarter size of polish to the cloth and repeat Steps 3 – 5 until the surface begins to get very glossy, even through the haze of the polish. (Note: In the event your headlamps are faded, repeat this step until you are no longer pulling up gold residue in your cloth, then proceed to Step 7.)
- Take your clean washcloth from Bucket “B” and wring it out slightly then fold cloth in half and then in half again then begin by moving your hand in a criss-cross motion. Wipe area in a criss-cross motion, leaving a small trail of water behind.
- At this point, take your dry buffing diaper or t-shirt and buff to a shine.
Headlamps that have a peeling surface may require a compound to remove residue before polishing.
